Delicious and nutritious bean burger patties made with black beans, sunflower seeds, oats, and a blend of flavorful ingredients. These hearty patties are perfect for a satisfying meal, offering a rich texture and taste. Easy to prepare and great for lunch or dinner, they're a wholesome plant-based alternative to traditional burgers.
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix chia seeds with water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it forms a gel-like consistency.
- In a food processor, pulse sunflower seeds and oats until they are finely ground.
- Add black beans, tomato paste, minced garlic, finely chopped onion, chopped parsley, chia egg and all the seasoning to the food processor. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still has some texture. You may need to do this in batches if your food processor is small.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a patty. Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Serve the bean burger patties on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments, or over a salad for a lighter option. Enjoy your delicious and nutritious bean burgers!
