Chocolate orange cookie dough Instructions
- Prepare the vegan egg replacer according to the package instructions (using the amount listed). Let it sit for a minute to thicken.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened vegan butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt until creamy.
- Mix in the lemon zest and orange flavouring.
- Add the prepared egg replacer and mix until smooth and well combined.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Mix until a soft dough forms. If it feels dry or crumbly, add oat milk 1 tablespoon at a time (only as needed).
- Shape the dough into a flat disc, wrap, and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Rolling and baking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 5–7mm thickness.
- Cut out shapes and place them on the sheet pan with a bit of space between them.
