Instructions
- Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until they are golden brown on all sides, about 10-15 minutes. Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add finely chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Sprinkle rice flour over the onions and garlic, stirring well to coat.
- Gradually pour in vegan cooking cream, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Add nutritional yeast, and all the seasonings. Stir well to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked tofu to the pan, stirring to coat it well in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes, over rice, pasta, or with a side of vegetables. Enjoy the rich and flavorful creamy tofu dish!
